Donner Memorial State Park
View the Emigrant Monument, see the Donner Party’s cabins, walk along interpretive trails, and view artifacts from their voyage.

Old Hwy 40
Follow this white-knuckle road past Donner Ski Ranch, Sugar Bowl, and over the Donner Summit Bridge. If you’re lucky you might see rock climbers suspended on the cliffs. Take time to visit the Chinese Railroad Wall and the Indian petroglyphs.

Western Ski Sport Museum
Located at the foot of Boreal Ski Resort lies this museum. Features include the Western Ski Hall of Fame, archived movies & photos, and Olympic memorabilia. Admission is free and the museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays (Wednesday-Sunday during the ski season).

Fanny Bridge
The bridge gets its name because people lean over the railing to view the giant rainbow trout waiting to grab food that is thrown down to them. Don’t be surprised to see a fish over 30”…unfortunately fishing is not allowed.
